Streatham cats rescue group is a group of volunteers that takes care the sick or abondoned cats in Lambeth since 1970. I knew the existence of them for a lot time as they are selling the 2nd hand good outside the cinema every saturday. I didn't visit them before till recently, I read the news they are in bit of trouble and doing a food appeal. I visited the shelter with cans of cat food

Dawn from the shelter told me some sad stories about the cats there and I'm shocked how some of them were treated. Also, some of them are very unlucky to get a terrible illness and then being abondoned outside the shelter. They just left the cats outside the shelter and not even say a thank you. (shocking!!)

However, those sick cats in the shelter are amazing friendly. They seem to know you are taking care of them, so they treat you as a friend.

Most people in the shelter are quite old, but very friendly. They are mostly part-time and come around to help Dawn (founder) few hrs a day. I am inspired on how much they do on cats and I really hope other people would know more about them or help them. There are also some adorable cats in the shelter which need a new home. I told Dawn I can make a web for them so people can know about this cat shelter and I enjoy very much doing that.
